Keller were awarded the contract by Kier Group to carry out CFA and SFA piling at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. Mogden STW is the third largest sewage treatment works in the UK, serving over two million people across south-west London. Kier’s work at the site is to plan and deliver a £66m refurbishment and upgrade process to ensure future resilience.

The CFA piling is being carried out over two sperate visits of a week each, as the tanks are being removed and replaced. In total 58nr 450mm diameter piles, to a maximum depth of 15.50m will be installed. The picture showcases our ability to carry out CFA piling safely in tight locations with our larger rigs.

The SFA grouted piles were installed using our specialist restricted access piling rigs where there was insufficient room for our larger piling rigs. The 22nr SFA grouted piles were 300mm in diameter and reached a depth of 11m to support a new structure.

A great example of Keller’s wide range of techniques and solutions at use to meet our client’s requirements on site. Get in touch to see how we can save you time and money on your next project.
