Interim Finance Manager (BKJV)

Keller are looking for an experienced Industry-based Finance Manager to join us on a 6-month contract to support on a joint venture.

Purpose of the Role: 

To provide timely and accurate production of BKJV financial information in order to promote the success of the joint venture; meeting contractual, statutory and joint venture partner reporting requirements; and to lead the BKJV accounts team in the timely processing and payment of supplier invoices. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take a leading role in maintaining and improving controls in order to achieve a strong control environment. 
  • Continuously seek ways of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes. 
  • Work with management and operations to provide them with the information they need to promote the success of the business. 
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, meeting JV partner reporting requirements.
  • Preparation and maintenance of financial accounting records including control accounts.
  • Work with the accounts and commercial teams to deliver accurate weekly and monthly management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with current VAT/CIS legislation, including the timely preparation and submission of monthly returns.
  • Other ad-hoc work in connection with financial processes, financial reporting or internal controls as required.
  • Assist as required with external audits.
  • Supervision, development, recruitment and motivation of the BKJV accounts team, including annual and periodic performance development reviews for direct reports.
  • Work to actively promote “The Keller Way”.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes: 

Minimum 

  • 5+ years of experience in an industry-based similar finance manager role. 
  • IT literate, Excel, Word etc. 
  • Experience in the construction or equivalent industry. 

Desirable

  • Experience in the use of EVision / Microsoft NAV. 
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent).
